Aluminium 1100 is a commercially pure aluminum alloy that contains at least 99.0% aluminum, along with small amounts of trace elements like copper (up to 0.05–0.2%), iron, and silicon. This alloy is non-heat-treatable and is celebrated for its remarkable corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and excellent workability. Its mechanical properties feature a tensile strength ranging from 90–150 MPa, a yield strength of about 30–95 MPa, and an elongation of 20–35%, depending on the temper (like H14 or O). While it may not be suited for high-strength applications, it excels in environments where formability and corrosion resistance are crucial.
