The alloy provides tensile strength of 470–520 MPa, yield strength of about 325 MPa, and elongation of 10–15%. The T3511 temper (solution heat-treated, stress-relieved by stretching) improves strength, resistance to cracking, and machinability and is best suited for components under high stress and precision loads.
