What is Aluminium 5005 Bar and Rods?

Aluminium 5005 contains about 0.8% Mg, 0.3% Si, 0.2% Fe, with trace amounts of Mn and Cr. It has a tensile strength of 170–210 MPa, yield strength of 110–145 MPa, and elongation of 12–20%. This alloy shows excellent corrosion resistance in marine and industrial environments, making it great for anodizing. While it cannot be heat-treated, it responds well to cold working. Its smooth surface finish and weldability make it suitable for decorative and structural applications.
