Dhruv Metals provides precision engineered Carbon Steel Spring Bars and Rods from Hyderabad, in accordance with ASTM A228 / A229 specifications. Specifically designed to provide high fatigue life and spring-back resistance, these fully cold-drawn springs bars provide superior straightness and surface finish. Made in grades such as 1070, 1095, and 6150, our spring rods provide support for applications involving cyclic load resistance. Dhruv Metals guarantees uniform mechanical properties and diameter tolerances, making them suitable for manufacturing springs, pins, blades, and mechanical energy-storing parts in automotive, industrial machinery, and instrumentation industries.
Carbon spring steel rods have ~0.70–0.95% C (1070/1095) or 0.50–0.60% C with ~1.0% Si and ~0.35% Mn (6150). Tensile strength is 1,200–1,650 MPa after hardening; yield strength about 1,150–1,600 MPa; elongation about 5–8%. The rods have good spring-back and fatigue resistance with million-cycle loading. They are magnetic and are wear–resistant. Supplied usually in tempered-hardened form, they retain accurate dimensional stability and surface finish (±0.005 mm diameter tolerance), ensuring conformity to consistent high-performance spring and pin use.

When selecting carbon steel spring bars, consider factors like the required strength, durability, and fatigue resistance for the specific application. Also, evaluate the environment's corrosion potential and the bar's ability to retain spring properties over time.
Carbon steel spring bars are generally not suitable for cryogenic applications due to their reduced toughness and brittleness at extremely low temperatures. Materials like stainless steel or special alloys are preferred for such conditions.
Carbon steel spring rods are available in various sizes, typically ranging from 1/4 inch to several inches in diameter, with lengths varying based on application requirements. Custom sizes can be manufactured to meet specific load, stress, or design needs.
Carbon Steel Spring Rods and Bars are extensively employed in coil springs, leaf springs, torsion bars, as well as precision pins. In heavy machinery and automobiles, they are used in suspension systems, clutch return springs, and vibration dampers. Precision instrumentation and valve assemblies employ them for pins and actuators with consistent elastic performance.
In industrial machinery, they are utilized for control rods and blade springs as well as in pump plungers. Due to their high endurance under cyclic stress, they are highly suitable for applications of a critical nature like lever springs, closing plungers, and safety release components in machinery and tools.
