Dhruv Metals provides precision-forged Copper Nickel Forgings from Hyderabad, customized for underwater applications requiring seawater corrosion resistance, pressure retention, and structural strength. Produced in Cu-Ni 90/10 and 70/30 grades, these forgings are to ASTM B122 and B171 specifications. They are applied in shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and condenser systems where biofouling and erosion should be reduced. They come in flange, ring, disc, and block shapes and offer excellent mechanical properties and homogenous grain structure. Through ISO-compliant manufacturing and stringent quality testing, Dhruv Metals provides durable, high-strength forgings for the most severe marine and industrial environments.
70–90% Cu and 10–30% Ni with controlled Fe and Mn for increased strength and resistance are present in Copper Nickel Forgings. Tensile strengths ranging from 310–520 MPa, yield strength ~150–280 MPa, and elongation of 30–40% are offered by forgings. They exhibit low magnetic permeability and toughness retention at cryogenic temperatures. Thermal conductivity is ~30–40 W/m·K. Forging improves their density, strength, and stress corrosion cracking resistance. These forgings preserve corrosion resistance in saltwater, contaminated, and high-pressure environments. Their thermal shock resistance further backs up their use in cycling or dynamic seawater systems.

Compatible welding processes for copper-nickel forgings include TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), and Stick welding. These methods ensure strong, durable joints while preserving the material's properties.
Copper-nickel forgings are commonly used in marine, aerospace, chemical processing, power generation, oil and gas, desalination, and plumbing industries due to their corrosion resistance, strength, and durability in harsh environments.
Factors ensuring the durability of copper-nickel forgings include proper alloy composition, effective heat treatment, corrosion resistance, precise forging processes, and protective coatings, all contributing to strength, reliability, and long-term performance.
Copper Nickel Forgings find applications in marine flanges, pumps, valves, fittings, and shaft parts. They‘re suitable for shipbuilding, seawater intake systems, naval ships, and firefighting water mains. In chemical and power plants, they find applications in cooling circuits, evaporator systems, and tube sheets. Their anti-fouling character makes them suitable for desalination plants and underwater equipment. They are also utilized in nuclear submarines, subsea pipelines, and process condensers. The enhanced corrosion resistance, high fatigue, and pressure retention properties of these forgings render them unavoidable in demanding, long-life marine and industrial conditions.
