Nickel (55–70%) makes up the majority of Hastelloy Rectangular Bars, with trace elements like tungsten and vanadium, as well as molybdenum (12–17%), chromium (14–16%), iron, and cobalt, depending on the grade (e.g., C-276, C-22). These bars provide outstanding defence against reducing and oxidising substances. Mechanically, they provide elongation of 30–40%, yield strength of 280–355 MPa, and tensile strength between 690–785 MPa. They are perfect for harsh environments because of their high-temperature strength, resistance to corrosion, and thermal stability. In aggressive media, the bars are also impervious to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
