Monel K500 Forgings consist of approximately 63% nickel, 27–33% copper, 2.3–3.15% aluminum, and 0.35–0.85% titanium, along with trace amounts of iron and carbon. This precipitation-hardened alloy not only boasts excellent corrosion resistance but also high mechanical strength. It can achieve tensile strength up to 965 MPa and yield strength around 690 MPa, while maintaining good ductility and fatigue resistance. Monel K500 keeps its mechanical properties intact even at high and cryogenic temperatures. These forgings also show outstanding resistance to seawater, acids, alkalis, and stress corrosion cracking, making them perfect for high-performance, corrosion-sensitive environments.
