They also contain manganese, silicon, and a maximum of 0.08% carbon, along with phosphorus and sulfur. These bars boast a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of about 205 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 40%, with a Brinell hardness of approximately 201 HB. SS 347 retains excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 870°C, making it ideal for thermal cycling applications, welding, and pressure-retaining systems in tough operating conditions.
