Titanium Grade 12 (UNS R53400) is a titanium alloy that includes about 0.3% molybdenum and around 0.8% nickel, which greatly boosts its corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing environments, such as hot acids and chlorides. The bulk of the alloy is titanium, making up roughly 98.8%. It boasts a tensile strength ranging from 483 to 550 MPa and a yield strength of about 345 MPa, along with good ductility, weldability, and formability. Its density is 4.54 g/cm³. Grade 12 maintains its mechanical integrity even at high temperatures and shows excellent resistance to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and erosion in demanding industrial applications.
